Donate Online

Crossing the Finish Line relies on private donations to ensure its continued operation and fulfillment of its mission. You can donate here via our secure server with a credit card. You will receive confirmation of your donation, view our Donor Acknowledgement Policy.

We thank you in advance for your support, helping us to strengthen the hearts, minds, and souls of young adult cancer patients and their families. We welcome donations of any size.

Memorials & Honorariums

With a memorial or honorarium, you can remember someone special or honor a loved one or friend while helping CFL Sailors.

Crossing the Finish Line provides a letter of acknowledgement to your loved one, friend, co-worker etc. for donations made to memorialize a deceased friend or family member or to honor someone on a special occasion, such as a marriage, new baby, new home, retirement, promotion, etc. We also provide preprinted cards, should you wish to honor someone at a wedding, party, etc. that you can place on tables for your guests to view.

When making a memorial or honorary donation, please include the following information:

• Name of individual being honored or memorialized
• Address of the person to receive the acknowledgement letter
• Your address so we may send you a letter of thanks
• Phone number to reach you if we have any questions

Contribute to Our Capital Fund

Crossing the Finish Line is proud owner of a home in Davenport, Florida, near Orlando. Our home is occupied about 50 weeks of the year with Sailors and their families. During the 2005 fiscal year, Crossing the Finish Line launched a Capital Fund to maintain and care for this valuable asset.

Join Our Anchor Club

Your monthly donation of $30 will be designated to provide CFL Sailors with a $100/day stipend - used to offset incidental expenses incurred while on a respite excursion. The donation can be automatically debited from your account each month, or you can make a pledge and mail a monthly check to the CFL office. Each month, you will receive feedback from a family who has traveled on a CFL respite excursion. For more information or to requst forms please e-mail joe@crossingthefinishline.org.

Wish List and In-Kind Donations

Donations of in-kind items and services are always appreciated as they do not require a cash expenditure by the organization. Examples of services we can always use include marketing, public relations and production services, data entry assistance, graphic design, and computer training.

Crossing the Finish Line is always in need of general office supplies, especially paper, colored file folders, and labels. We also welcome other donations that correlate to our office, excursion program, and special events we host.

United Way Giving

Crossing the Finish Line is not a United Way Agency. However, we do participate in the United Way’s Directed Donor Program that allows you to make a donation directly to CFL through your employer’s United Way campaign.

• To make a donation to us directly, designate us on your donor form in Southeastern PA by our DONOR NUMBER 12978.
• For other United Way agencies, simply write in “Crossing the Finish Line” and indicate our office location of Blue Bell, PA.

We would also be happy to speak on behalf of the United Way at your workplace during your United Way Campaign. We welcome the opportunity to speak to any size group, anywhere in the Delaware Valley, including New Jersey and Delaware. Corporate and Foundation Partners

Approximately 33% (thirty-three percent) of CFL direct cash contributions came from our Corporate Partners and Foundations. We are extremely grateful not only for their cash support, but thank them for their in-kind donations as well.

Adopt A Family

CFL offers an Adopt a Family Program that allows donors to make a specific donation to directly benefit a Sailor and defray costs associated with his or her excursion. Donors who participate in this program will receive information about the Sailor and family who benefited from their contributions within a month of the Sailor’s return home from the trip.

The average direct cost of an excursion close to home is $1000.00 and $2500.00 for an excursion to Florida. You can Adopt a Family on your own, or join together with other families or colleagues to Adopt a Family. Some individuals and groups make a memorial or honorary gift to this program. We welcome all participants in this program!

Donate Your Home

Crossing the Finish Line relies on donated homes in various regions of the United States to house our Sailors for their one-week respites. We have been fortunate to have had private homes donated in resort regions including the Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania Poconos; North Carolina; Carmel, California; and warm regions in Florida. We are in special need of warm weather homes during the months of November through April!
